Textile & Care
Wash with care,
wear with love,
live with kindness.
At Cotton India Tribe, every piece is made with patience, handwork, and soul. We want you to know how to care for them so they remain timeless companions in your life.
Wash Care
- The textile is pre-washed – a fresh start before it reaches you.
- Dry-clean or hand-wash gently in cold water. No machine wash.
- Use mild, earth-friendly detergent, never softeners – kindness towards fabric and the Earth.
- Do not soak. Natural dyes are alive, they may release some color – like a reminder of their roots. A quick rinse is enough.🩸
- For handloom, rinse gently. For naturally dyed fabrics, rinse fully.
- Dry in shade, preferably lay flat – a moment of stillness in its journey.
- Store wrapped in cotton, let it rest and breathe. 🏡
What Else You Should Know
- Hand-painted shirts do not bleed – each stroke is sealed with care.
- Natural fibre shrinkage is part of the story. We’ve already considered this in our sizing, so your piece will settle into its perfect form.
- Each fabric is handmade and unique – slight variations in weave, texture, or color are a mark of human hands and nature’s rhythm.
- Timelessness lives here – some pieces may rest in your wardrobe longer, yet when they return, they will be as fresh and full of life as the day they were made.
Caring for your textiles is caring for the Earth – and a reminder to be gentle with all of life.
